In Mongolia's austere Gobi region, two Bökh masters execute the intricate "khuruu" grappling technique that has remained unchanged since medieval times. Their traditional attire the open-fronted zodog jacket and tight shuudag shorts—honors wrestling customs that transcend sport; for Mongolians, Bökh embodies spiritual philosophy where man tests himself against both opponent and nature.
